One of my buddies, who's a Vietnam vet, has an old 1962 Magnavox four speaker stereo and I'll take some of my vinyl over there and play it. Like I said, the sound is thick and muddy but it reaches the ear better. I asked Leonard, "How loud can you turn this thing up?" He says, "Oh you wanna hear?" And he CRANKED that sucker until the kitchen furniture began to rattle. But it didn't hurt my ears though that was the thing! It just filled the house!

Thank you,you're right about analog and I think most recording engineers would agree,digital does not sound better it's justeasier and cheaper to use and the sound canbe manipulated, pitch correction etc,etc.

Thank you FENDIN10, these are the type of comments that really contribute to watching these old vids! Hearing memories of those who were there when these songs were played on the radio, like my mom (one of her absolute faves in '67 by the way). That good ol' analog equipment may have sounded muddier that the clean digital we have today but damn could it PROJECT MUSIC! If you wanted to break windows, those old stereos were awesome!
