It samples various "Blood, Sweat & Tears" songs. The Braund Reynolds song "Rocket" also did this, hence it having some parts in common with War Photographer.

The style IS very much like Samurai Jack. However Samurai Jack was made by Genndy Tartakovsky with Scott Wills, Paul Rudish, Robert Alvarez, Andy Suriano, Lynne Naylor, and many others. Jason Forrest wasn't on staff for SJ, but yes, his style is VERY much the same.
