You cant. Trust me. It might discharge small but still powerfull electrical impact. It might ruin you motherboard.

But the magnet is so small on those screwdrivers that it doesnt really matter. You can screw in a hard drive with a magnetic screwdriver.

Magnetism is a computer's worst enemy. The magnetism can damage sensitive internal components of the computer.

Uhh... how can you not put on a jumper right? Is basically a wire between two leads, no polarity or anything...
Himom2032 (December 31, 1969 at 3:59 pm)
Its the Clear CMOS jumper. It is usually marked CLR_CMOS on the motherboard. It is usually right next to the battery. Some motherboards have a clear cmos button.

Why a non magnetic screwdriver?
srkipancevo (December 31, 1969 at 3:59 pm)
You dont need password, just pull cord off from power source. After all, this is a video that show how to bypass bios password.1. First remove power source and than all other cords from your computer.2. Use non-magnetic screwdriver to open the case.3. Search for the battery, round thing, and pull it off. In most cases you do not need to use jumpers, just wait about 2 min to "cool down"4. Pull battery out, do not use any metal thing for it.5. Wait about 30 sec and do the process in revise.

yea, well i did this..exactly how the vid instructed, but i ran into a problem. I did all of this and i went to turn on my comp and it says 0 space diskettepress f1 to continue, or f2 to setup... now i dont want it to say that because my mom put this BIOS pass because i was playing World of warcraft to much<33 and i dont want her to see the f1 and f2 crap because she's ignorant towards computers and she'll think something is wrong, i dont need that. |
